Water is life, Kata Tjuṯa
Nestled between two of the great rocks that make up the Kata Tjuṯa formation you find a very small flow of water. In the Australian desert life depends on knowing where water is. To the Aṉangu, the original custodians of the land, Tjukurpa (the creation period or Dreamtime) is the foundation of their culture and provides both rules and behaviour for the care and use of precious water resources.
