Iconic Bass Harbor Head Light Station in Maine. Located at the junction of Bass Harbour and Blue Hill Bay.
There are probably tens of thousands of photos of this famous lighthouse, most usually taken around sunset. I chose to capture this image on a overcast cloudy day at low tide allowing me to include the opposite shore for greater sense of depth and pushing the lighthouse up into the top right corner of the image thus emphasising the rocky shore line below and the true purpose of the light station.
